Advertising has long been a determinant of business success. This includes providing the product or service to consumers. What really matters is how it is presented to the target market in order to entice them.
Whatever the package, the ad media also plays a large role in determining the success of the reputation of the product or service.
What may be its advantages over other proven medium like television commercials to success?
Benefits
1. Low Cost
Eventhough an Internet ad might be considered “chic” or large, as compared with averages for other, much cheaper than most. Internet Ad Packages are offered for very low, with products like google adwords and google TV you can reach a large market with little cost.
2. Capture market
Your ad needs to be appropriate to the audience. If your product or service meet the needs of younger generation or business-oriented people then Internet advertising would be more suitable because they always be “hooked-up in surfing the internet” be sure to always lead people back to your website by either a link to your website or clearly stating the website address.
3. Hassle
All you actually need is a PC and some knowledge and bright ideas in developing a great website.Huge benefit of Internet based advertising is that you can track and measure your RIO(return on investment) and you actually never have to leave your home to advertise!
4. Updated ads
Unlike TV commercials that need to be updated on a regular basis, Internet advertising can work for some time without the need for change. If so, the change in the site is very minimal and can be easily done at home.
Disadvantages
1. Scope
Limited market may be captured only if you want to use the Internet to publicize the ad. As alot of people are still a bit weary about doing business of the Internt because of all the fraudsters out there.
2. Additional cost
If you want to get help from another professional or establishment to produce the site for their product or service, resulting in additional costs from the contractor or service provider.
Given the list of advantages and disadvantages on Internet Ads down, an entrepreneur may now weigh up the odds in its application to his particular product or service.
The purpose of Internet advertising is to offer the widest range or “Maximum Exposure” of the brand at the lowest possible cost. Now, that does not sound good or what?
